Activities: Went down to Combe Martin to hunt the Earl of Rone, saw Jeremy Deller in conversation with Emma Warren (joined by Boss Morris), held a glow-worm in my hand, swam in Bude sea pool, watched Pulp twice, Harry Styles twice, Arctic Monkeys twice, Wet Leg three times, Le Tigre, Pavement, The Pictish Trail, Tinariwen, Sorry, Lisa O'Neill, experienced Abba Voyage, explored the Llyn peninsula of Wales, finished my sign language course, went to my annual family BBQ in Wexford (on pause since 2019), saw A Strange Loop, The Motive & The Cue, laughed at Ben Schwartz & Friends and did Barbieheimer in one day.

Since last words, I have seen John Cale at The Palladium, Caroline Polachek, Young Fathers, Melody's Echo Chamber, Wet Leg at the Royal Albert Hall, Alex G, Lankum, Channel Tres, Mozart Estate, The Hidden Cameras with Owen Pallett, Georgia, Anna Calvi doing Aladdine Sane (weird event), Bill Ryder-Jones, Panda Bear & Sonic Boom, La Priest, Richard Dawson, Minor Conflict, Sorry, ESG, Mdou Moctar and Shirley Collins. In particular Young Fathers were incredible but Lankum definitely best show I've seen this year, even seen them again since! I'm now very glad the gigs will calm down a bit though! 

Other activities: spent May Day in Padstow following Obby Osses around, went to my first Banya (Russian spa) but sadly did not get hit by branches, slept overnight in a church (champing), celebrated Sammy's 40th in Vienna, Valencia (for Las Fallas) and Rowans bowling alley and saw 2:22 which was good fun.

Just back from a holiday in Grenada, my first to the Caribbean Islands if we're not counting Cuba, but apparently we should be. Big up Tim's on Anse La Roche. 

Saw Lara Ricote at Soho Theatre last night, otherwise, saw Aftersun before Christmas and now planning some further 2023 travels whilst sorting out a new boiler.
